The Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta is
seeking a qualified individual to fill a tenure-track position at the
level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The research focus of this
individual will be in software engineering, with a strong preference
for someone with an interest in service-oriented computing.
Candidates are required to have a PhD in Computer Science or a related
discipline. Areas of interest include (but are not limited to)
component-based software engineering (CBSE), service oriented
architecture, complex and heterogeneous distributed systems, web
services, model-driven engineering, and middleware.
The candidate is expected to establish their own research program,
supervise graduate students, and teach at both the graduate and
undergraduate level. The Department values curiosity-driven research
very highly.
