Re: ECN Digest - 1 Jan 2010 to 4 Jan 2010 (#2010-2)

I second Brenden's suggestion. He recommended it to me for my senior seminar last year. I used it and the students found it quite accessible. I will use it again this semester for a seminar on climate change. -todd Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Original Message From: Brenden Kendall Date: Tue, 5 Jan 2010 09:04:08 To: Subject: Re: [ECN] ECN Digest - 1 Jan 2010 to 4 Jan 2010 (#2010-2) Jen and ECN members, I strongly recommend the site for Lester Brown's *Plan B 4.0*, a comprehensive book on environmental science, ecological crises, and social responses. http://www.earth-policy.org/index.php?/books/pb4 The site contains the *entire book* in PDF form, a comprehensive powerpoint slideshow, and a useful "fact sheet" ... and more. These can be combined in some way, I'm sure, that would be amenable to most any course's curriculum. (Or, in your case, Jen, made to be the equivalent of an article-length for reading.) Brown has spent most of his time recently updating the book as data and strategies evolve. It's the best single resource I've shown to interested lay persons.
