The annual National Database Conference of China (NDBC), sponsored
by the Database Technical Committee of China Computer Federation, provides a
forum for sharing the research and exchanging ideas among the data management
and database systems researchers. The 27th National Database Conference of China
(NDBC 2010) will be held in Beijing on October 14-17,
2010, and is jointly organized by Renmin University of China, Peking University,
and Tsinghua University. Other local co-organizers
include the Institute of Computing Technology and Institute
of Software both from the Chinese Academy
of Sciences, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing
University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Normal
University, Beijing
University of Technology, and Beijing Jiaotong University.
NDBC 2010 will mainly focus on the emerging research issues and
challenges, and demonstrate the latest results achieved in the database systems
community. Besides the traditional research presentations, the conference will also
feature system demonstrations introduced in NDBC 2010 for the first time, Graduate
Mentoring Program for improving paper writing and presentation, workshop on
Cloud Data Management, and keynote speeches given by the world¡¯s leading
experts in the database field.
NDBC 2010 calls for original research papers on data management and its
applications, as well as proposals for tutorials and system demonstrations.

Research Paper
Submission Guidelines
1) All research papers submitted to NDBC 2010 must be unpublished. Each
submission is required to include a title, an abstract, a few keywords, the main
body text, and the bibliography. Submissions are subject to double-blind
reviewing. Thus, the identities of the authors (such as author names, affiliations,
E-mails, addresses, grant numbers, acknowledgements, and so on.) must not appear
in the submitted manuscript.
2) Each submission could be written either in English or Chinese, and
must be submitted as a Microsoft Word file. Submissions should be no more than
eight A4 pages in length, and must adhere to the formatting instructions of the
Chinese Journal of Computers. Please refer to the website of the Chinese
Journal of Computers (i.e., http://cjc.ict.ac.cn/)
for more details.
3) All submissions must be done electronically through the conference
submission site. Submissions via E-mail are unacceptable.

System demonstration
Proposal
NDBC 2010
will launch the System Demonstration Program for the first time in the NDBC
series, and calls for system demonstration proposals on innovative database
system research. More details in terms of the demo submission and evaluation
can be found from the conference website.
4.
Conference Proceeding
Accepted
papers will be published in two volumes: Volume A and Volume B. Papers selected
for Volume A will be published in either the Chinese Journal of Computers
(regular issue) or the Journal of Frontiers of Computer Science &
Technology (regular issue), while papers in Volume B will be published in Journal
of Computer Research and Development (supplement issue). In the conference, we
will announce the winners of the ¡°Sa Shixuan¡± Best Paper Award and the Best
Demonstration Award.
