CALL FOR CHAPTER PROPOSALSâ¨Proposal Submission Deadline: December 20, 2009â¨Multiple Sensorial Media Advances and Applications: New Developments in MulSeMediaâ¨A book edited by Dr. George Ghinea (Brunel University), Dr. Frederic Andres (NII/CVCE), and Dr. Stephen Gulliver (University of Reading)â¨Â â¨To be published by IGI Global: http://www.igi-global.com/requests/details.asp?ID=752â¨Â â¨INTRODUCTIONâ¨Traditionally, multimedia applications have primarily engaged two of the human senses - the audio and the visual - out of the five possible. With recent advances in computational technology, it is now possible to talk of applications that engage the other three senses, as well: tactile, olfaction, and gustatory. This integration leads to a paradigm shift away from the old multimedia towards the new mulsemedia - multiple sensorial media.â¨Â â¨RECOMMENDED TOPICSâ¨Mulsemedia brings with itself new and exciting challenges and opportunities in research, industry, com!

This book solicits chapters dealing with mulsemedia in all of these areas.â¨Â â¨Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:â¨.        Context-aware Mulsemediaâ¨.        Metrics for Mulsemediaâ¨.        Mulsemedia devicesâ¨.        Mulsemedia in distributed environmentsâ¨.        Mulsemedia integrationâ¨.        Mulsemedia user studiesâ¨.        Multi-modal interactionâ¨.        Mulsemedia and virtual realityâ¨.        Olfactory enhanced mediaâ¨.        Quality of service and Mulsemediaâ¨.        Tactile/haptic interactionâ¨.        User modelling and Mulsemediaâ¨.        Mulsemedia and e-learningâ¨.        Mulsemedia and e-commerceâ¨Â â¨SUBMISSION PROCEDUREâ¨Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before December 20, 2009, a 300 word chapter proposal clearly explaining t!
