++ apologies for cross-posting ++ CALL FOR PAPERS Information Communication Technology in Innovation and Creativity 8 - 10 September 2010 Cardiff, Wales, UK http://gospel.aid.design.kyushu-u.ac.jp/~ushiama/kes2010/ Invited Session of KES 2010 14th International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems http://kes2010.kesinternational.org/ Scope of the Session Information communication technologies have changed our worthy sources from the materials, which are visible things to be directly shared among individual persons, to the knowledge, which is inherently attended with personal thinking. The knowledge is the most important entity derived from the knowledge society in the 21st century. The term "innovation" is a primary source and/or critical function to change the progress from the traditional situation to the new one, and is regarded as the typical activity to create a new perspective. Also, the term "creativity" is a radical action to step up the thinking and doing, and has been looked upon as one of human-oriented abilities. Our invited session focuses on these two terms from the adaptability, availability and usability of ICT with respect to the human activities, and then discusses the exponential possibility, experimental evaluation, trial validation, re-design with results and so on. Topics of Interest The topics of interest include but not limited to the followings: - Advanced ICT in knowledge society - Knowledge society design - Creative activity environment - Creative human-human & human-computer interaction - ICT support for creativeness - Information, content & knowledge management for creative activity - Media integration & multimedia content management for creative activity - Ubiquitous & mobile environment for creative activity - Intelligent working environment - Intelligent system - Innovation-based activity support - Data, web & behavior mining for creative activity - Creative information filtering, recommendation & personalization Important Dates - Submission of papers 18 March 2010 - Notification of acceptance 8 April 2010 - Submission of camera-ready papers 25 April 2010 Submission of Paper Papers must correspond to the requirements detailed in the Paper Submission, which is placed on the conference web site. http://kes2009.kesinternational.org/submission.php All papers must be presented by one of the authors, who must be registered in advance. The accepted papers in the invited session will include in the conference proceedings, which will be published by Springer in LNCS/LNAI. Papaers must be submitted in PDF format using the PROSE review system, and selecteing the Invited Session IS08.
