Call For Papers- IWRE

First Indian Workshop on Reverse Engineering (IWRE) Co-located with the 3rd India Software Engineering Conference (ISEC) 2010 Feb 25, 2010 Mysore INDIA The first Indian Workshop on Reverse Engineering organized by Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Mumbai and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will be held on 25 Feb. 2010 in Mysore, India. Reverse engineering of a given application provides a great deal of information about the software including the design and development problems in the application that may be faced in future. The information gathered through the reverse engineering analysis of an application can also be helpful in suggesting restructuring in the design which can improve its quality. The workshop aims at exploring the techniques that help improve the design quality through reverse engineering. IWRE provides an international forum for researchers, developers, and users interested in Reverse Engineering issues and its applications. Participants will include practitioners and researchers from industry, academia, and government. The workshop aims at discussions and active participation which will help evolve the future directions for the field of reverse engineering. We are looking for quality submissions in the following areas. Topics of interest include but not limited to: Information extraction through Reverse Engineering Innovative techniques and methods of Reverse Engineering Models’ discovery from legacy systems Challenges in the discovery of structural and behavioural models / information Applications of various Reverse Engineering techniques Program Understanding through Reverse Engineering Refactoring of Systems Tools and Automation for each of the above Submission Guidelines: All the papers must follow IEEE format for the paper writing. Experience papers (max. 4 pages), the paper should discuss the issues related to the application of reverse engineering techniques. Position Papers: (Max 4 Pages) describing work-in-progress and discuss the approach Tools Demonstration: (Max 2 page) Describing the working and architecture of the tool Each selected paper needs to be presented and will be given 20 minutes for the presentation. Important Dates: Abstract Submission : 4th Jan 2010. Final Submission : 11th Jan 2010. Notification : 5th Feb 2010. Camera Ready : 15th Feb 2010.
