The Asian Business and Management Conference

The Asian Business and Management Conference 7 to 10 October 2010 Osaka, Japan ABMC 2010: Challenges and Opportunities. Business and Management Conference organized by the International Academic Forum in conjunction with La Trobe University. Conference Chair: Dr David Wilkinson Keynote Speaker: Professor Don Brash The deadline for abstracts/proposals is 15 April 2010. For more information or to submit a paper or organize a panel, please visit the website at http://www.abmc.iafor.org The International Academic Forum in conjunction with its global partners is proud to announce the inaugural Asian Business and Management Conference, to be held from October 7-10 2010, at the Hotel New Otani in Osaka, Japan The world has been in economic and financial turmoil since late 2008, giving rise to significant pessimism together with adverse consequences for both businesses and, more broadly, national economies. Is the worst over - U, V or W curve? Too much government stimulus, or not enough? Too much financial regulation, or not enough? Is this the precursor to a change in the world economic order from West to East? What lessons have governments, regulators, and the business world learned? Each challenge gives rise to an opportunity. Under this theme, the Conference will bring together experts and leaders from the academic and business world to answer these questions and more; to both reflect on the recent past, and look forward, to exchange ideas, and share research findings. The Conference sessions will be wide-ranging, covering both policy and research. We invite you to join us in Osaka at ABMC in October 2010 to discuss and debate these and other related issues. ABMC 2010 has the following special themes: * Financial Regulations versus Market Discipline * Japan and the World Economy * China and the 21st Century * The Rise of India * The impact of Asian Economies on Global Business * The futures of the RMB and the Dollar * G2, G8, or G20? * How strong will the Global economy be? We welcome contributions from Academics, researchers, policymakers, analysts from government and private institutions, business representatives, and PhD students. Papers can deal with both theoretical and methodological approaches, implementation, and case studies. Abstracts of no more than 250 words including key words and JEL field codes should be submitted by 15 April 2010. All abstracts will be double blind reviewed by a voluntary team, and authors will be notified of the results by 15 June 2010. All accepted authors may have their full paper published in the conference proceedings CD-Rom. Full text submission is due by 1 July 2010. Selected papers will be considered for inclusion in the ABMC 2010 Conference Journal. This will be fully refereed in accordance with international standards. The deadline for full conference payment for all presenters is 10 August 2010.
