IEEE Computer Society Harlan D. Mills Award
Submission Deadline: 15 December 2009
IEEE Computer Society awards program honors outstanding technical
achievements, innovation and service to the computer profession and to the
society. IEEE Computer Society invites you to nominate candidates for one
of its highest awards in software engineering: the Harlan D. Mills Award.
The nominations deadline is 15 December 2009. Award information and a

Harlan D. Mills Award
A memento and a $3,000 honorarium is awarded to recognize researchers and
practitioners who have demonstrated long-standing, sustained, and
meaningful contributions to the theory and practice of the information
sciences, focusing on contributions to the practice of software
engineering through the application of sound theory. Achievements should
demonstrate a sustained body of work in software engineering theory and
practice. Recipients may also be invited to present a talk at the
International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE), cosponsored by
the IEEE CS Technical Council on Software Engineering.
The Harlan D. Mills Award Selection Committee is chaired by Dieter
Rombach, professor at the University of Kaiserslautern and executive
director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering
(IESE), Kaiserslautern, Germany.
