Software Engineering/Information Technology Faculty Position
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Oakland
University seeks
applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor
to start in January
2010. We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in
software engineering
and information technology. The hired faculty will play a key role as we
continue to improve and
grow our B.S. in Information Technology program and M.S. in Software
Engineering &
Information Technology program.
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Software Engineering or Computer
Science with the
dissertation research in software engineering and continued conducting
research in Software
Engineering and Information Technology. Candidates with years of experiences
in software
industry for large software development projects and management, information
systems analysis
and design with specialized expertise in Health Science, GIS or other
application domains, deep
understanding of cutting edge tools, techniques and methodologies such as
MDA, SOA and Web
2.0, knowledge of contemporary issues in information technology, software
quality assurance,
maintenance & evolution, CMMI, as well as evidence of successful teaching in
software
engineering/IT courses are highly desired. Candidates must show exceptional
promise in both
research and teaching.

The teaching statement should include a list of undergraduate and graduate
courses that the
applicant will be willing to teach as well as outlines of two courses that
the applicant would like to introduce. Information about the current courses
