OCE PhD Scholarships - Sensor and Sensor Networks

Applicants are invited from students enrolled as PhD students in Australian Universities for a PhD scholarship in the research area of Sensors and Sensor Networks. Applicants based in Canberra are invited to make proposals for research in Sensor Information Management, investigating issues including, but not limited to: (1) query specification, implementation and execution, including developing a simple and flexible programming abstraction for the sensors and the sensor network, (2) in network information processing aimed to optimize power consumption, network congestion and processor usage, including performing real time detection of complex events, (3) sensor information quality, (4) fault tolerance in the event of sensor and senor network failures over a long period of deployment, and (5) application of sensor networks to scientific, security, industrial and health-care disciplines.
