CAWOPS2010 Call for Paper
Call for Papers
The University of Calgarys Software Quality Engineering Research Group
(SoftQual) will be organizing CAWOPS2010 (The First Canadian Workshop on
Optimization of Energy Pipelines and its Software Engineering Aspects) from
5 to 7 February 2010. CAWOPS 2010 aims at bringing together ideas from all
Canadian researchers on designing and developing optimization engines and
intelligent software systems for improving efficiency in energy pipelines
(focusing on oil and gas).
Important dates:
Call for Full Paper Submission,
Submission dead line December 20, 2009
Notification of acceptance January 15, 2010
The Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to):
-Necessity for optimal operation of energy pipelines -costs that could be saved
-Challenges facing formulation of optimization problems for batch product
Pipelines -challenges versus outcomes
-Accuracy versus complexity in modeling pipelines for optimized operation
-Current and future software tools for optimizing energy pipelines operation
-Software engineering aspects and challenges in the domain of energy
engineering (a.k.a. developing scientific software)
Prospective authors are invited to email a copy of their full papers to the
organizers:
