Senior Researcher Position in Data Integration and Mining
Software Technology and Applications Competence Centre

The University of Tartu is a leading research-intensive university in
the Baltics. Its Institute of Computer Science, in collaboration with
Tallinn University of Technology and ten leading IT vendors and IT
user organizations in the Baltics, is coordinating the establishment
of a competence centre on software technology and applications. The
mission of this centre is to conduct industry-focused research with
the aim to develop leading-edge solutions in the fields of data mining
and software and services engineering.
In this context, expressions of interest are being sought for a Senior
Research Fellow position in the field of data integration and mining.
The position is suitable for an early-career researcher seeking to develop
a research agenda independently and with an orientation towards applied
research and collaboration with industry. The successful candidate will
have a PhD in a relevant field plus two years of postdoctoral experience
and a solid publication track record. Expertise in Web data mining,
information integration and/or data warehousing is highly desirable.
Experience in collaborative research projects with industry and experience
in supervision of junior researchers (research assistants, Masters and/or
PhD students) is a plus.
The position will be fixed-term for four years. The salary range will be
2500-3000 euro depending on qualifications and experience. The starting
date is negotiable. The working language of the software technology centre
is English. Knowledge of Estonian is not required.
