The book\ \ "Metamodeling for Method Engineering"\ edited by Manfred Jeusfeld, Matthias Jarke and John Mylopoulos\ \ offers a comprehensive overview of the field of meta modeling for\ information systems. Two theory chapters (information modeling, meta modeling) are\ followed by a chapter on ConceptBase, a tool for metamodeling. The bulk of the book\ consists of six case studies ranging from requirements modeling for telecommunications to\ chemical process design.\ \ The book is accompanied by a CD-ROM with the ConceptBase software and lots of examples for\ the case study chapters. The book discusses all ingredients necessary for defining adapted\ modeling methods. In addition, the CD-ROM contains lecture slides for courses based on the book.\null
