Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong consideration will be given to
candidates with teaching and research expertise in the areas of Networking and
Information Technology. The successful candidate will teach courses in the
areas of computer hardware, network operating systems, clustering,
virtualization, WAN, SAN, wireless networks, and network security. Relevant
industry certifications such as MCSE, CCAI, Net+, RFID+, Linux+,
Security+, and A+ are preferred. Other responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, curriculum development, advisement and recruitment of undergraduate
and graduate students, laboratory development, establishing and maintaining
contacts with business and government personnel, and scholarly activities that
include funded research, and publishing papers in professional journals and
regional and national conferences.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an earned doctorate
in a field related to Technology or Engineering. Additionally, applicants must
have a Masters Degree and a Bachelors Degree in one of the following fields:
information technology, electrical engineering, computer engineering,
engineering, physics, computer science, electronics technology, or computer
technology. It is preferred that the applicant has a minimum of three (3) years
relevant industrial experience in the field of electronics, computers or
information technology, preferably with companies in the United States. Highly
preferred candidates should have teaching experience in a NAIT
or ABET accredited program.
